Now, if you are a fan of Porsche, this is the hotel for you. Each guestroom at the Kimpton Overland Hotel Atlanta is crafted with bold and modern design, catering to the preferences of discerning travelers. Embracing a subtle car-inspired theme, the rooms beautifully embody the spirit of Porsche, with the legendary race car innovator's latest creations whizzing by just beyond your window, creating an immersive and exciting experience.

Because the hotel is located next door to the Porsche Experience Center, you can choose to have views of the training track.

Were there in-room amenities or little touches that you'd rave about? How was the Wi-Fi—and was it free?

One of the best amenities that we made use of was the Free Airport Shuttle. We were staying at the hotel because we had early flights the next morning for a cruise and we were able to leave our car at the hotel and use the airport shuttle to get to the airport on time.

We also like that they have the Kimpton Plant Pals Program. Guests can request to have a live plant placed in their room to brighten their stay. Simply ask the front desk.

There is free wifi and it is pretty standard.

Give us the lowdown on the F&B.

Apron, is the house restaurant. It is a Southern-inspired menu with a few Southern classics like Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer and a grilled Berkshire Pork Chop served with mashed sweet potatoes. I do find the food to just be okay considering the pricing but the cocktails are definitely something to keep an eye on.

They also have the Rooftop at Overland. This is the rooftop bar and lounge that serves shareable plates with global inspiration. Think hummus and bao buns and stuffed grape leaves. This gives an awesome view of the Porsche training track and Porsche Experience Center. There’s also the occasional airplane flying by. I found it to be a bit chilly up there even in the summer, so take a light jacket or wrap.
