What You Need to Know About the Carnival Vista

carnival vista 2017

So, the first Bibb family vacay of 2017 took us on the Carnival Vista.

back on Carnival...

Terry had been wanting to go on this ship for a while and the kids had really been dying to go back to Carnival (more on that later). So, we found a good deal back in March and booked. I was DYING the week before we left with serious cruise fever. Considering, we hadn't been on a ship since February lol.

so excited...

The Carnival Vista is a beautiful ship with all kinds of goodies on board, and by goodies, I mean food. The kids were most excited about Guy's Burger Joint. Terry was excited about Guy's Pig and Anchor. And me, I was excited about the Steakhouse, but I really just wanted to eat everything in sight.

itinerary...

The Carnival Vista itinerary was going to locations that we have already been to, but they are locations that we LOVE. Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. We have been to Cozumel so many times that we could be tour guides :) But we simply love it there. The people are so sweet and helpful. We also absolutely love Grand Cayman. The beaches there are simply breathtaking.

activities...

Now, the past few family cruises have been on other cruise lines and you will see those later, but we hadn't cruised on Carnival in a couple of years. The kids loved Carnival because of the activities onboard specific to their age group. Terry and I loved it because it kept the kids busy so that we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about the kids. Now, that the kids are older, there are still activities for their age groups, but there are other fun activities that they can do as well. The Vista offers a ropes course, mini golf, plenty of foosball, ping pong, and actual pool tables. It also has the SkyRide, which Kara and I are so excited to try out! Besides that, there are all the water activities, including the slides, pools, and WaterZone play area.

Kara was also looking forward to all of the Playlist Production's shows that would be done on the cruise. She insisted that we would go to each show. We were all looking forward to the deck parties and fun things put together by Matt, the Cruise Director. If anyone knows my hubs personally, they know that Terry is an EPIC researcher. He will find out any and every bit of info about something before he commits to a purchase or decision. The Carnival Vista was no exception. So during his research, we discovered how fun Matt, the Cruise Director, makes the activities on the ship.

Stay tuned for more about our trip (all the wonderful and not so wonderful details) and how you can join us on our upcoming adventures. We have some groups trips planned and would love for you to come along.
