What are the Suites like on Virgin Voyages?
Just so you know each Virgin Voyages ship has the exact same deck plan. So, regardless of which ship you decide to sail on in the Virgin Voyages fleet, (Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, or Brilliant Lady) this cabin category will be the same.
What are the different types of Suites on Virgin Voyages Ships?
On Virgin Voyages, there are two types of Quarters: RockStar and Mega RockStar. Each category includes four different grades of suites.
RockStar Quarters (Sweet Aft Suite, Seriously Suite, Cheeky Corner Suite, and Brilliant Suite)
Mega RockStar Quarters (Gorgeous Suite, Posh Suite, Fab Suite, and Massive Suite)
RockStar Quarters on Virgin Voyages
RockStar Quarters are a step above XL Sea Terrace Cabins and considered as the introductory level of suites on Virgin Voyages, although they offer much more than that. These suites are ideal for those looking to enhance their onboard experience and enjoy additional perks.
Each ship has 63 RockStar Quarters available. Passengers staying in these quarters will receive a black version of "The Band", which serves as a room key and wallet, as well as VIP access to Richard's Rooftop, an exclusive area on the ship. Even when fully booked, there will only be a maximum of 162 RockStar passengers on board.
There are four categories of RockStar Quarters aboard Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady.
Sweet Aft suite – 416 to 661 sq ft depending on deck
Seriously Suite – 354 sq ft
Brilliant Suite – 428 sq ft
Cheeky Corner Suite – 615 to 848 sq ft depending on deck
Our Seriously Suite
The Seriously Suite RockStar Quarters, which are the smallest and most affordable suites on Virgin Voyages, are located on Deck 12, Midship. Each ship has 24 of these suites, all of which can accommodate up to two people. The interior space is 284 square feet, the balcony is 68 square feet, and the total area is 352 square feet. Additionally, there is a spacious marble bathroom with a peekaboo shower.
These Suites are situated in the Mid Forward section of the ship, with cabins above and below. They are conveniently located near Pool, Gym, and Richard's Rooftop. Being in the midship area, they may experience less movement in rough waters, making them a suitable option for those who are prone to motion sickness.
Sweet Aft Suites
The Sweet Aft Suites have a perfect view of the ship's wake and are situated in the back of the vessel. If you prefer looking out from the aft, then these suites are definitely for you - they're literally like having ringside seats!
These suites can fit 2 people and there are 7 of these kind of rooms on each boat.
The size of these suites varies from 416 sq ft to 661 sq ft, due to the shape of the ship's stern. All cabins have the same interior space of 236 sq ft, but the upper-grade cabins generally have larger terrace space. The cabins with the largest terrace space and most expensive are located on decks 12-14, while those on decks 8 and 9 have less terrace space and are less expensive.
Just to mention, the Sweet Aft Suites are more distant from Richard's Rooftop compared to other areas and offer better shade from the sun especially on decks 12-14. Depending on what you prefer, this could be a good or bad thing – so it's good to know before you make any decisions.
Even though they're in an iffy spot, Sweet Aft Suites are close to the aft elevators and stairs and make for great spots to check out the Wake, Dock House, and Gunbae (for fun), plus the Perch and Athletic club (for chillin' out).
Like the Cheeky Corner Suites (mentioned below), it's something to consider if you're prone to motion sickness while traveling - these aft suites might not be the best option for you. If you're prone to sea-sickness, it's best to stay in midship cabins. Check out Brilliant and Seriously Suites for the best option in this category. They'll keep you better protected in choppy waters and won't let movement affect your night's sleep!
Cheeky Corner Suites
Cheeky Corner Suites are spread across decks 8-14 with two suites on each deck. These can accommodate a maximum of two people and are perfect for couples.
Cabin sizes range from 615 to 857 square feet, with 311 sq ft of interior space in all cabins. However, the more expensive cabins offer bigger terrace areas. If you're looking for the best cabins with the most terrace space, head up to decks 12-14 -you'll find the biggest terraces there.
Cheeky Corner Suite Pretty Big Terrace Suites
Cheeky Corner Suite Even Bigger Terrace Suites
Cheeky Corner Suite Biggest Terrace Suites
The Cheeky Corner Suites are the furthest away from Richard's Rooftop, but they're also close to the aft lifts and stairs. This makes them perfect for easy access to places like Wake, Dock House, Gunbae, The Perch and The Athletic club. Just like Sweet Aft Suites!
If you get motion sickness easily, it might be a good idea to avoid booking aft cabins since they're more prone to movement when the seas are rougher. Mid-ship cabins can give you more stability, so they're probably the safer option in this case. If you're looking for a little bit more space, consider going for a mid-level suite from this category (like Brilliant Suites or Seriously Suites).
The Cheeky Corner Suites are situated at the back of the ship and provide breathtaking panoramic views. They also come with wrap-around sea terrace balconies which you won't find in any other cabin on the ship. If you wanna get a balcony like this, then you'll have to upgrade one of the two Massive Suites.
If you're looking for a lot of outdoor area at an affordable price, then these suites are the way to go. Make sure you get them on Deck 14 for the most space (537sq ft) - they have more deck area than inside!
Also, each Cheeky Corner Suite is connected to a Sea Terrace cabin via an adjoining door - just something to keep in mind!
Brilliant Suites
All eighteen Brilliant Suites are located on deck 14 of the ship, at the Mid-Forward area. They have an interior space of 396 square feet and a balcony with 86 square feet, amounting to a total of 428 sq ft.
The Brilliant Suite is just like the Seriously Suite but with more room. It even has its own lounge area and extra sofa bed which you won't find in a Seriously Suite. This suite can even fit up to 4 people with a double Euro King bed and a double sofa bed. Plus, it comes with an extra-wide balcony that's bigger than the Seriously Suite.
